Iyamah is a band from Atlanta, Georgia, formed by sisters Imani and Aman Johnson. They started making music together in 2017, releasing their debut EP 'The Way We Were' that same year. The sisters grew up with music around the house, listening to their parents' soul records, and sang in a choir with friends as teenagers.
In 2018, their single 'A Woman's Worth' got attention for its message about women's empowerment. Other songs like 'Cryptic Love' and 'Won't Work' show their style of blending soulful vocals with straightforward lyrics.
Keep it compact: a lyric you come back to, a live memory, or the part of the catalog you would point someone toward first.
