Jacira Silva

Jacira Silva grew up in Itabira, Brazil, where she first connected with music through hymns at her local Pentecostal church. Her debut album 'Basta Que Me Toques Senhor' came out in 2005, with the title track becoming popular among listeners. She followed it with albums like 'Espírito Santo' in 2007 and 'Minha Vida em Suas Mãos' in 2009.

Her songs include 'Por Que Te Abates?', 'Cristo É a Resposta', and 'Envia-me a Mim'. She has worked with musicians including her husband David Silva as musical director, along with Wesley Silva on guitar and Igor Silva on drums.

Her outspoken views on certain social issues have drawn criticism from some quarters while resonating with others. She continues to record music grounded in her faith, with later albums like 'Fé que Muda Tudo' appearing in 2018.
