Jack Sheldon & Schoolhouse Rock

Jack Sheldon was a jazz trumpeter and singer who became known to a wider audience through his work on the Schoolhouse Rock educational series in the 1970s. He provided the vocals for 'Conjunction Junction (what's Your Function),' one of the most recognizable songs from the program. The animated shorts used music to teach grammar and other subjects to children.

Sheldon's career extended beyond this project. He recorded jazz albums and also sang the theme song for the children's television show 'The Magic School Bus.' The Schoolhouse Rock team included other musicians like Bob Dorough and Tom Lehrer, who contributed to the series of educational shorts.
