Jacob Black first gained attention in 2009 with a cover of Taylor Swift's "You Belong With Me" that found an audience online. His version had a quieter, more intimate feel than the original, and it became his most recognized track.
He released his first album, "Whispers of the Forest," in 2010. Later records included "The Sound of Silence" in 2013 and "Echoes of the Soul" in 2017. He has worked as a solo artist throughout.
Some of his work has drawn from folk and blues, though his sound has shifted across different projects. He has recorded with other musicians, including producer Rick Rubin and singer Joan Baez.
Keep it compact: a lyric you come back to, a live memory, or the part of the catalog you would point someone toward first.
