Archive material and source history
Jacob Forever was born Yosdany Jacob Carmenates in Havana, Cuba. He started performing in local clubs and talent shows before joining the reggaeton duo Gente de Zona in 2003. After leaving the group in 2013, he went solo and released the album "El Inmortal" in 2014.
His song "Quiéreme (Remix)" appears among his most popular tracks, along with "Otro trago" and "La Dura." In 2015, he was arrested in the Dominican Republic on drug trafficking charges but was later cleared. A plagiarism claim surfaced in 2017 regarding similarities between his song "Quiéreme" and another artist's work, though the allegations were eventually dismissed.
