Jacob Hoggard was the frontman for the Canadian rock band Hedley, which he formed in 2003 with three high school friends: Dave Rosin, Tommy Mac, and Chris Crippin. The band's self-titled debut album came out in 2005 and included singles like 'On My Own' and 'Trip.' They went on to release several more albums, including 'Famous Last Words' in 2007 and 'The Truth Hurts' in 2018.
Hedley's music included songs like 'Put Your Head On My Shoulder,' 'Awake In A Dream,' and 'Brave New World.' Hoggard's vocal style drew from rock and pop influences, and the band developed a following in Canada through their recordings and live shows.
In 2018, Hoggard faced sexual assault allegations that led to a legal case. He was sentenced to prison in 2022. The legal proceedings and his incarceration marked a sharp turn in his public story, separate from the band's earlier work.
