Zen

I have known since I was young that I could seperate myself

Trace along a synapse in my brain and take on someone else

Peak into a life that I have never known and tell their tales

Reach in my pockets with nothing but consciousness I tend to

Sit upon my hands until my heart achieves a state of zen

Scribble out my ego, pick up empathy and find a pen

Manifesting every word they thought of but they never said

Losing my consciousness in every pocket that I never had

I hope the sacrifice is worth it

I decipher voices in my head that never show their face

Translate all I can before they seem to go their separate ways

Share it with the world and maybe back to where and which it came

Feel like a prophet, with cursory cognizance because I am

Fumbling with sand, each grain just one of my plans

I don’t know how to be more than I am

But I hope if I stay right here I’ll understand
