Jader Prada formed in São Paulo in the late 1990s around singer and composer Jader José Barbosa da Silva. The band's debut album 'Vem me tirar da solidão' came out in 1998, followed by 'Meu Mundo' in 2000 and 'Nosso Amor' in 2002. Guitarist Fernando Prado was part of the early lineup.
Their songs like 'Cansei de brincadeira' and 'Namoro Virtual' mixed straightforward lyrics with melodic arrangements that found an audience across Brazil. The music sometimes drew criticism for its direct approach to personal themes.
Jader Barbosa remained the consistent presence through the band's recordings, with the group maintaining a steady output of albums through the early 2000s. Their catalog includes tracks like 'Agora É Tarde (Tarde Demais)' and 'Bandida' that became part of their setlists.
Keep it compact: a lyric you come back to, a live memory, or the part of the catalog you would point someone toward first.
