Jake Shimabukuro

Jake Shimabukuro is a ukulele player from Honolulu, Hawaii who started playing at age four. He became widely known for his instrumental version of Queen's "Bohemian Rhapsody," which circulated online and brought attention to what the instrument could do beyond traditional Hawaiian music.

His approach to the ukulele sometimes raised eyebrows among listeners who expected it to stay within folk or island styles. But his technical ability and the sheer ambition of tackling a complex rock epic like "Bohemian Rhapsody" eventually won over many skeptics.
