Jamie Rivera

Jamie Rivera was born in Manila in 1966. Her father was a choir director, and she grew up singing in choirs. Composer Fr. Arnel Aquino became an early mentor. In 1991, she released her debut album, which included the song 'Heal Our Land.' That track became widely known in the Philippines, often heard at gatherings and church services.

Her music leans toward inspirational and worship themes. Along with 'Heal Our Land,' songs like 'I've Fallen For You,' 'Mahal Naman Kita,' and 'Tell The World Of His Love' appear in her catalog. She has worked with other Filipino artists such as Basil Valdez, Gary Valenciano, and Martin Nievera.

Rivera has recorded more than twenty albums. Her band has included drummer John Apura, bassist Eugene Chua, guitarist Rommel de la Cruz, and keyboardist Teddy Katigbak. She has received several Awit Awards, which are given for Filipino music.
