Jammie XX is a London-based electronic group that formed in the early 2010s. The trio includes Jamie Smith, Thom Green, and James Blake. Their 2015 debut album 'In Colour' brought them wider attention with its layered production and atmospheric synth work.
One track from that album, 'I Know There's Gonna Be (Good Times)', became particularly well-known. It's built around a sample from the Persuasions' 1971 song 'Good Times' and features vocals from Young Thug and Popcaan.
In 2017 they released an EP called 'Sleep Sound'. The group has occasionally dealt with sampling issues, including a dispute over the use of Joe Henderson's music on the track 'Twenty Thousand'.
