Jane Fonda was a Portuguese band from Lisbon that formed in the early 2000s. Their lineup included Pedro Sofia on vocals, João Correia on guitar, Luís Caldas on bass, and Rodrigo Monteiro on drums. They released their self-titled debut album in 2004, followed by 'O Problema de Woody Allen' in 2006 and 'A Vida Secreta dos Animais' in 2008.
Their song 'Gatos e Cães' came out in 2006 and became one of their better-known tracks. Other songs in their catalog include 'Homens São Feios,' 'Retrato Do Artista Quando Jovem,' and 'Acelerando.'
The band took their name from the American actress and activist, which gave some indication of their unconventional approach. Their music didn't fit neatly into established categories, and they developed a following among listeners who appreciated that quality.
Keep it compact: a lyric you come back to, a live memory, or the part of the catalog you would point someone toward first.
