The band formed in Los Angeles in the late 1980s with Perry Farrell on vocals, Dave Navarro on guitar, Michael Balzary on bass, and Stephen Perkins on drums. They released 'Nothing's Shocking' in 1988 and 'Ritual de lo Habitual' in 1990, then disbanded in 1991 before reuniting a decade later to record 'Strays.'
