Archive material and source history
Janne Da Arc formed in 1996 after the band Gaze ended, with Kiyoshi Tsunenari on vocals, You on guitar, Takuro on bass, and Ka-Yu on drums. Their debut album 'Dearly' came out in 1999 and did well commercially. They kept releasing albums through the 2000s, including 'Ark' in 2000, 'Singularity' in 2003, and 'Gaia' in 2004.
Their sound mixed rock with pop elements, and songs like 'Wild Fang' and 'Blue Tear - Ningyo no Namida' show that range. Tsunenari's voice was a clear focal point.
The group played their final show at Nippon Budokan in 2007 and then disbanded. Members worked on solo projects afterward. In 2019, they reunited for some concerts and put out a new single, 'Wild Fang.'
