Jaque Vanilla formed in São Paulo around 2003, led by vocalist and songwriter Jaque Molina. The band's sound mixed electronic beats with ethereal vocals, and they built a following despite early financial struggles and label rejections.
Their 2007 debut album included the song "Ele Pode Mudar," which became their breakout track. The song's haunting melody and lyrics about love and self-discovery connected with listeners and helped push the band toward wider recognition.
Over the next decade, Jaque Vanilla released several more albums, including "Lado B" in 2010, "Nuvem" in 2013, and "Coração Amarelo" in 2019. Other songs like "Jesus" and "Meu Libertador" continued their introspective approach. The band's lineup included bassist Fabio Corvino, guitarist Marcelo Brum, and drummer Daniel Simões alongside Molina.
Keep it compact: a lyric you come back to, a live memory, or the part of the catalog you would point someone toward first.
