Jaquelinni Moraes began making Catholic music in Brazil around 2012. She released albums like Sentido in 2014, Santo in 2016, Eu Sou Todo Teu in 2018, and Aos Céus in 2020. Her husband Marcello Moraes plays guitar in her band, which also includes Felipe Marques on bass, Tony Lucchesi on drums, and Bruna Rocha on vocals.
Her song Carlo Acutis, about the Italian teenager who died in 2006 and was later canonized, became particularly well-known. Some in the Catholic community questioned her approach of mixing traditional hymns with contemporary styles, while others responded positively to it.
