They played a mix of rock, funk, and psychedelic soul, but what really defined them were lyrics that openly talked about drug use at a time when that was still largely taboo.
In 1976 they released their debut album, which included the song "Cocaína." That track became their signature piece, drawing both fans and critics with its blunt lyrics about cocaine's appeal and dangers. It got them attention from authorities and media, and they faced some performance bans as a result.
They put out a few more albums after that, like "Fumando Rock and Roll" in 1977 and "Directo" in 1978, but it's "Cocaína" that people still remember. The song kept them in the conversation about Spanish rock even after their initial run.
