Jasmins do Paraíso formed in Rio de Janeiro in 2007, with Felipe Honorato on vocals and guitar, Rodrigo Alvarenga on bass, Fernando Silva on drums, and Juliana Amaral on keyboards. They put out their first album 'Refúgio' in 2009, followed by others like 'Despertar' in 2012 and 'Alma Imprudente' in 2015.
Their song 'Imprudente Soul' got some attention for its lyrics, which touched on things like forbidden love. Other tracks from their catalog include 'Duda Calvin', 'Inércia Paranóica', and 'Infância Anos 80'.
They kept releasing music through the 2010s, with 'Flores do Paraíso' in 2018 and 'Infinito' in 2021. The band's sound worked with elements of MPB and bossa nova, but they weren't trying to fit neatly into any one style.
Keep it compact: a lyric you come back to, a live memory, or the part of the catalog you would point someone toward first.
