Jason Aldean

Jason Aldean grew up in Georgia and moved to Nashville after high school, playing local bars while trying to get a record deal. His self-titled debut album came out in 2005, and the single 'Hicktown' gave him his first real radio hit. He's put out ten studio albums since then, and songs like 'She's Country' and 'Got What I Got' have kept him on country playlists for years.

His sound leans on electric guitars and a steady backbeat, pulling as much from rock as from traditional country. The Jason Aldean Band, with players like guitarist Kurt Allison and drummer Rich Redmond, has been with him through most of his touring and recording. They help give his records a live, arena-ready feel.

In 2019, a mass shooting took place at one of his concerts in Las Vegas. Aldean paused his tour afterward. A couple years later, his wife made some comments on social media that drew criticism and calls for boycotts; Aldean eventually apologized for her remarks. He's kept releasing music through it, with tracks like 'Any Ol' Barstool' and 'Ain't Enough Cowboy' showing up on his recent albums.
