Jax Jones is the stage name of British producer Timucin Lam, who started out DJing in North London clubs before signing with Polydor Records in 2014. His first single was 'I Got U' that year, but it was a few years later that he found wider attention with tracks like 'You Don't Know Me' featuring Raye and 'Where Did You Go?' with Mnek.
In 2017, 'Instruction' featuring Demi Lovato and Stefflon Don became a significant hit, reaching high positions on charts internationally. That track's success helped establish his presence in pop and dance music. He followed it with other singles like 'Play' featuring Years & Years and 'Yeah Yeah Yeah'.
He released the 'Snacks' project in 2019, with an expanded 'Supersize' version coming out in 2020. His work often involves vocal features from other artists, pulling from pop and R&B while keeping a dancefloor-ready electronic foundation. The music tends to be built around straightforward, catchy hooks and propulsive rhythms.
Keep it compact: a lyric you come back to, a live memory, or the part of the catalog you would point someone toward first.
