Jaya formed in 1967 with Jesse Colin Young on keyboards and vocals, Donald Brewer on guitar, Dave Smalley on bass, and George Grantham on drums. Their self-titled debut album came out in 1971 and included 'If You Leave Me Now,' a song Young wrote that became their biggest hit.
They put out a few more records before breaking up in 1974, including 'Jaya II' in 1972 and 'Outsider' in 1974. Other songs from their catalog include 'All Of My Life,' 'Hold On,' and their version of '(Sittin' On) The Dock Of The Bay.'
