Their music stayed rooted in samba, with albums like Samba de Roda in 2007 and Sambas de Verão in 2009. They performed live as well, releasing Ao Vivo na Bahia in 2011. The pair faced some criticism early on about their stage presentation, but they kept performing.
They put out another studio album, Ritmos do Brasil, in 2014. Their work drew from Bahian traditions without much fuss, and they didn't dramatically reshape the genre. They were just two singers from Salvador who made samba records for about a decade.
