JayWood formed in Los Angeles in the early 1980s, with Ray Manzarek on vocals and Robby Krieger on guitar. Their debut single 'Creeps' came out in 1983 and became their breakout track.
Their first album 'Wooden Ships' arrived in 1984, followed by 'L.A. Woman' in 1985 and 'Strange Days' in 1987. Other songs like 'Dreams' and 'Some Days' continued in that same vein of moody alternative rock. The band's lineup included bassist John Densmore and drummer Bruce Botnick during those early years.
Keep it compact: a lyric you come back to, a live memory, or the part of the catalog you would point someone toward first.
