Paulo César Barros handled lead vocals, while Marcelo D2 contributed rapping and songwriting. Producer Lenine helped shape their arrangements with his innovative approach to instrumentation.
Before "Sensação," they released an album called "Samba Jazz" in 2001 that explored similar territory. Their music faced some resistance from traditionalists who weren't sure what to make of their genre-blending approach, but they kept working in that direction anyway.
