Jean Sablon was a French singer who first studied law before turning to music in the early 1930s. He made his debut at the Théâtre des Bouffes-Parisiens in 1933. His breakthrough came in 1938 with the song "J'attendrai," which became widely popular during World War II.
Sablon's repertoire included French classics and romantic ballads like "Vous qui passez sans me voir" and "Je Tire Ma Révérence." He recorded numerous albums over his career, including a 1963 collection of songs by Georges Brassens. Sablon died in 1994.
