His 2009 debut album 'Star of the Country Down' included the title track that became his best-known song. He followed it with albums in 2012, 2016, 2019, and 2022.
In 2015, vocal cord nodules interrupted his singing for a time. He returned to performing after that, and his band has included Michael Boyle on piano, Eamon Curran on bass, and Ciaran Doherty on drums.
