Jeff Rosenstock started out in New York's DIY punk scene as the vocalist and guitarist for Bomb the Music Industry!. Their 2010 album "Vacation" became something of a cult favorite in underground circles.
After that band ended, he began releasing music under his own name. His 2016 album "Worry." mixed punk with pop and folk elements. The 2018 album "POST-" brought him wider attention, particularly with the single "Get Old Forever," which connected with listeners thinking about aging and holding onto ideals.
He's kept up a steady pace of releases, putting out "NO DREAM" in 2020. His songs, like "OLD COLD" and "We Bagged 2 Explode," often come with an energetic, socially conscious edge that's remained consistent from his early days in the scene.
Keep it compact: a lyric you come back to, a live memory, or the part of the catalog you would point someone toward first.
