Jeff Van Dyck formed the band Divinitus in the late 1990s. Their 2002 album 'Liberation' included the song 'Divinitus,' which became one of their better-known tracks along with 'Forever' and 'We Are All One.'
Van Dyck's lyrics sometimes touched on spiritual themes and social issues, which occasionally drew criticism from certain groups. He kept writing what he wanted to write anyway.
The band put out a few albums that mixed progressive rock with heavier elements and some ambient textures. They never became a household name, but they developed a following among listeners who appreciated that particular blend of sounds.
Keep it compact: a lyric you come back to, a live memory, or the part of the catalog you would point someone toward first.
