Archive material and source history

Jekk was a four-piece band with Ben Rees on vocals and guitar, Ben Whatley on bass, Nick Kirksmith on drums, and Ade Evans on keyboards. They put out two albums in the mid-2000s: "Five O'Clock" in 2004 and "Awake" in 2007.

Their song "Five O'Clock" got a lot of radio play and ended up in commercials and TV shows. It's the track most people remember, along with "Love You Don't Go" and "First."

They toured heavily for a while, which wasn't always easy on them. Some critics called their sound overproduced, but that didn't stop the songs from finding an audience.
