Jender Rezende formed in Rio de Janeiro in 1986, with Jender Rezende on vocals alongside his brother Junim, guitarist Sergio Souza, and keyboardist Helvio Ramirez. Their debut album 'Vem Ficar Comigo' came out in 1989, and its title track became a samba hit. They followed it with 'Hoje Eu Quero Te Amar' in 1991, which included songs like 'Hoje Eu Sei' and 'Samba de Verão'.
Later songs like 'Fica Ou Não Volta?' and 'Cara de Pau' kept their sound rooted in Brazilian rhythms while reaching for pop audiences. The band saw lineup changes in the early 2000s when Souza and Ramirez left, and they faced some public disputes around 2010, but kept recording through it.
Keep it compact: a lyric you come back to, a live memory, or the part of the catalog you would point someone toward first.
