Jennifer Ayache is the lead vocalist of the French band Superbus, which she co-founded with childhood friend Patrice Focone in 1999 when she was 16. The band's debut album 'Aéromusical' came out in 2002. She was born in Marseille in 1983 and grew up with a father who played jazz, taking piano and singing lessons early on.
Superbus had a hit with 'A Travers Toi' in 2004, a song that became widely popular in France. Their sound mixed rock, pop, and electronic elements. Other songs like 'Acide', 'Ennemie', and 'Forteresse' round out their catalog.
Ayache has been known for being outspoken, and the band's style choices sometimes drew attention. They released six studio albums together, maintaining a consistent presence in French pop-rock through the 2000s.
Keep it compact: a lyric you come back to, a live memory, or the part of the catalog you would point someone toward first.
