Jennifer Rush was born Heidi Stern in New York City. Her 1984 debut album 'Heidi' included 'The Power of Love,' which became a global hit after she worked with German producer Guido Horn on it.
She followed that with albums like 'Movin'' in 1985 and 'Heart Over Mind' in 1991, which gave its name to one of her songs. Other tracks in her catalog include 'Wings of Desire' and 'A Broken Heart.'
Her career included some legal disputes over song ownership, and she never quite matched the commercial scale of that first single. But she kept recording through the 1990s with albums like 'Out of My Hands.'
Keep it compact: a lyric you come back to, a live memory, or the part of the catalog you would point someone toward first.
