Jenny Berggren was one of the vocalists in the Swedish pop group Ace of Base, which formed in Gothenburg in 1990. The group included her siblings Ulf, Linn, and Jonas Berggren. Their debut album 'Happy Nation' came out in 1993 and found a wide international audience with its blend of Europop and reggae rhythms.
Her voice was often described as clear and soaring, a defining element in songs like 'The Sign' and 'All That She Wants.' After Linn Berggren left the group in 2007, the remaining members continued recording and performing as Ace of Base until the group disbanded around 2012.
Jenny also released solo material, including songs like 'Here I Am,' 'Free Me,' and 'Spend This Night.' Those tracks carried forward the melodic pop sensibility she was known for in the group setting.
Keep it compact: a lyric you come back to, a live memory, or the part of the catalog you would point someone toward first.
