Archive material and source history
Jill Tracy was a British band that formed in the late 1970s, with Tracy Pew on vocals and guitar. They put out their first album in 1979 and released a few more records over the next several years, including 1982's 'Cruel World' which had the song 'Evil Night Together.'
The band's sound had some punk in it but leaned toward slower, moodier territory, with songs like 'Between The Black' and 'Doomsday Serenade' showing that side.
They stopped working together around 1985. Some of their material still gets played by people who like that particular late-70s, early-80s British post-punk atmosphere.
