When your self-esteem is flattened

Your whole life can change in a second

And you don’t even know it’s happened

Is that we’re born into life of own

And then it seems to be the case

That we’ll all strive to make a home

You can keep yourself safe and warm

But your world may make no sense

When you offer your tender underbelly

To the sword of experience

Yeah, when man’s control of the world is shattered

You might think at times like these

That the arrogance of mankind

Would have sunk with the ship of dreams

When the illusion of safety is shattered

Well, there’s only one thing to do

That is have the belief that something, someone, somewhere

Is out there waiting for you

We seem to want everything

Think we get nothing and that’s when things get tough, but

Between everything and nothing
