Jimmy Gnecco started out in Detroit, where he worked as a singer-songwriter. His first album, The Heart, came out in 2000. A few years later, his song Collective Consciousness from the album The Wolves in the Walls found an audience and brought him more attention.
He's put out several albums over time, with songs like Bring You Home and Light On The Grave in his catalog. The music tends to lean into rock and folk territory, often circling around personal themes.
Gnecco has played with different musicians along the way, including Charlie Sexton and Steve Earle. He's also done some work with other artists like Sufjan Stevens.
Keep it compact: a lyric you come back to, a live memory, or the part of the catalog you would point someone toward first.
