João Curi formed a band in 2017 with guitarist Rafael Bernardo, bassist Henrique Baptista, and drummer Caíque Cipriano. They worked out of Botucatu, Brazil, where Curi grew up around music and learned piano and guitar early on.
His debut album 'Amor de Ficção' came out in 2018, with the title track becoming a popular single. Other songs like 'Baiana' and 'Cilada' show his mix of pop, rock, and Brazilian rhythms.
