Jobs formed in the early 2000s when Pedro Oliveira and Diogo Serrao, friends from Algés, started playing music together. They added drummer João Cabral and took their name from the tech figure. Their debut album 'Os Dias Passam' came out in 2006, followed by 'Até ao Fim' in 2009 and 'Aurora' in 2012.
Oliveira handled vocals and most of the songwriting, giving the band its particular sound. Their songs like 'A Última Luz' and 'Ela' have a reflective quality, with piano and atmospheric arrangements that lean toward folk and electronica.
In 2010, their track 'Não Sei' drew some criticism for its lyrics, which the band said were about addiction rather than promoting it.
