2nd For The 1st Time

I stepped out the taxi cab on 2nd avenue for the 1st time

I never even set eyes before.

But i see my footprints all around here

My guitar, borrowed suitcase, borrowed floor

There's nothing more to say, i know i had to come

And i'm a million miles away and i am all alone

But it feels like i am home

I walked around, went underground and

I see how i could survive here

I see a million hungry eyes that i recognise from mine here

I was right, just my judgement that was wrong

I hear a distant call and i know that i have to leave here

I pack up all my things,

I say all my goodbyes, close the door here
