Their debut album came out in 1980, anchored by the title track 'Blame it on the Ponny Express,' a ballad that found some listeners with its straightforward melody.
A second album, 'The Song Horse,' followed with another single, 'Dancing on the Edge of the Wheel.' The band's lineup didn't hold, though. Wyman and Kelley were gone by 1983 amid some public friction, leaving Hillman and Buttrey to figure out what came next.
