They started playing London clubs, trying to find their footing while American rock acts like Bill Haley & His Comets were still dominating the scene.
In 1960 they released "Shakin' All Over," which became their breakthrough hit. The song topped the UK charts and remains their most recognizable track. They followed it with other singles like "Please Don't Touch," which appears on their 1960 self-titled album and their 1961 album "Shakin' All Over."
