The band released four albums between 2004 and 2013, starting with the self-titled "Bye Bye, Adeus" in 2004. That record included the title track along with "Tudo Que Você Quiser" and "Meu Bem." Their later albums were "Tudo Que Você Quiser" in 2006, "Na Estrada" in 2009, and "Pra Sempre" in 2013.
At one point, Joka Bay faced allegations that "Bye Bye, Adeus" was plagiarized, which they denied. They also dealt with the death of a close friend who had been their manager. After their initial success, their later work received mixed reviews and their popularity faded, though "Bye Bye, Adeus" remained a familiar song in Brazil.
