Jonathan King

Jonathan King was a British singer-songwriter and producer who had his biggest moment in 1965 with 'Everyone's Gone To The Moon.' The song's space-age theme and simple melody caught on during that period, becoming his signature recording.

He also worked behind the scenes, producing hits for other acts like The Rubettes' 'Sugar Baby Love' and writing songs that became successful for other artists, including 'Venus' for Shocking Blue. His production work extended into the 1970s with tracks like George Baker Selection's 'Una Paloma Blanca.'

In the 1970s, King started his own label called UK Records and moved into various business ventures. His career included other singles like 'It's Good News Week' and 'Summertime Girl' from the mid-1960s.
