Jonathan Pierce first appeared with a self-titled album in 2007, noted for its raw, intimate sound and his distinctive vocals. He followed that with his solo single 'Giver of the Gift' in 2011. Around 2013, he co-founded The Voidz with Julian Casablancas of The Strokes, and the band released 'Tyranny' the next year, moving into more experimental territory.
His work with The Voidz continued through their 2018 album 'Virtue'. Pierce also contributed to The Strokes' 2020 album 'Hyperspace'. Other songs in his catalog include 'Healing hands', 'One love', 'Should've Been Loving You', and 'To be a christian'.
