Jonezetta was a band from Atlanta that had some success in the early 1980s. Their song 'Backstabber' came out in 1980 and did well on the R&B charts. Shirley Murdock sang lead vocals and wrote that track.
They put out a few albums after that, including 'Firm Roots' in 1981 and another self-titled one in 1984. The group had some lineup changes over time, with Murdock's sisters Carolyn and Linda sometimes singing backup.
