Their songs, like 'Ay Hombe' and 'Esta Vida,' became popular for their straightforward, accordion-led vallenato sound. In 2006, Zambrano was diagnosed with thyroid cancer, which paused their work for a time before he recovered and they resumed performing.
In 2013, they faced plagiarism accusations over the melody for 'Ay Hombe,' which led to a legal dispute they eventually won. They continued to release music, including the album 'Ay Hombe' in 2011.
