Jorge de Altinho

Jorge de Altinho came from Pernambuco, where the local forró and baião rhythms shaped his approach to guitar and singing. He wrote songs that connected with listeners in a direct way, like "Confidência," which became widely known across Brazil.

In 1995, his album Confidências brought him broader attention. The title track and other songs such as "Menino de Rua" and "Fazenda Santo Antonio" reflected his background and everyday themes. His recordings sometimes included other musicians, but the focus remained on his straightforward delivery.

What stayed clear was the music itself, songs like "Andorinha Só Não Faz Verão" and "Devagar" that didn't need much decoration to find their audience.
