Josh Abbott Band

The Josh Abbott Band started in Texas around 2006, with Josh Abbott on vocals and guitar, Preston Wait on guitar, Edward Villanueva on bass, and Austin Davis on drums. They played local bars and festivals early on, building a following without much fuss. Their debut album 'Scapegoat' came out in 2010 and included the song 'Miss You Again', which got some radio play and helped them reach a wider audience.

Since then, they've put out albums like 'She's Like Texas' in 2011, 'The Beer We've Earned' in 2016, and 'Front Row Seat' in 2022. Their sound has shifted a bit from the acoustic feel of their first record toward something more polished, with touches of rock and pop mixed into the country foundation. Songs like 'Oh, Tonight' and 'Brushy Creek' show that range.

The band has kept the same four members for most of its run, with Abbott handling lead vocals and songwriting, Wait on guitar, Villanueva on bass, and Davis on drums. They haven't chased trends or made a big deal about their lineup changes, just stuck to making music that works for their fans in Texas and beyond.
