Archive material and source history
Josh Rouse is an American singer-songwriter who started writing songs in his teens. He moved to Nashville after college, where he developed his approach to folk and pop music. His debut album 'Rooms of the House' came out in 2003, and its lead single 'Flight Attendant' became something of a sleeper hit.
He followed that with albums like '1972' in 2005 and 'Nashville' in 2007. Songs like 'Directions' and 'It Looks Like Love' show his knack for straightforward, melodic writing. In 2013, his label Universal Republic filed for bankruptcy, and Rouse went independent after that.
