His song 'Igreja Pequena' from 2005 became particularly well-known, with its plain-spoken lyrics about a small church as a place of refuge. Other songs like 'Deus Cuida de Você' and 'Vale a Pena' followed a similar path of straightforward, faith-oriented storytelling set to acoustic arrangements.
He worked with musicians including guitarist Gilmar Santos, bassist Almir Pessoa, drummer Rony Adriano, and keyboardist Edmilson Oliveira. Their playing gave his songs a fuller sound while keeping the focus on his voice and lyrics.
